Hey all,

Using Android auto for both of our phones. We both have a Pixel 5 and they both just show up as Pixel 5 in the UI.

They both have unique device names in the device settings.

The question: how can I change the name of these devices in the ID.4? I sure can't find it.

There is legit no way to tell which phone is connected when I am selecting a phone from the list.

Okay, update:

Tl;Dr: pair and then rename your device. Preexisting device names did not pair with Android auto.

My phone has a unique name but my wife's did not. I assumed that because the ID.4 called both of them Pixel 5 it was a infotainment seeing.

It is not. My wife changed her device name AFTER PAIRING and the car grabbed it. I did the same and it also updated.

I'm not going to delete this as it was a bit experience and it may help some one else out.
