What are we looking at for resale values. I paid around 42k OTD and I think I want to move in a different direction. I have maybe 3k miles and it’s blue

Why moving in another direction? Get a carmax offer.
A used Id.4 is not eligible for the federal tax refund. Therefore it's probable value is around 32k to 34k.
Depends if you're selling private party or trade-in. If you sell private party I wouldn't be surprised if you get around 40k. While there isn't a tax credit on resale, that is a savings off a new car. many people don't have the tax liability to get the tax credit, so it could still be a savings for many. Plus the shortages in cars in general.
Dealer in Colorado Springs has one with 5000 miles and a price tag of $45,000++. Hard to comprehend.
Sell to Carvana for 40K+.

My offer was $42,000 with 1000mi on the car. Even without tax rebate eligibility, people are still buying used ID.4s for nearly MSRP.
