For accounting reasons some dealerships may want to "cancel" the reservation and refund you your $500 instead of applying it since the car is being purchased under a different name than the deposit came in under.I have the ID.4 reservation under my name.
It will be my wife's car so normally we would register it under her name, financing under her name.
Does it matter to the dealer?
Mainly need to plan ahead for the financing.
