Hello,

Pretty easy to understand query. Getting conflicting info from VW dealers about whether this can be done. So best to ask on here whether someone has had it done or, conversely, knows categorically that it can not be done. Model is 1st edition or though not sure that matters.

There is thread on US tow hitch that shows configuration and discusses how this is different from Europe version.

USA iD4 tow hitch - It's a bolt on so if it's not in your package you can mount an after market. I bet underlying bumper is same for all models as a matter of production efficiency. (EURO peps does your hitch mount to bumper in same manner?) Pic is from a FE on US demo drive tour
