Hello!

So we are about to hopefully seal the deal on ID4!

Having said that, a big concern was safety. We were looking at an outback before. Any idea how this compares? I still have not seen anything on IIHS testing and I feel like the EU testing is not as detailed as I would like.

If any of you have any info on this and feel inclined to share, it would be appreciated!

Thank you

They're both pretty safe cars in my opinion, good crumple zones and airbags.

From my experience the id4 driver assist is much better than Subarus offering, but I'm comparing to the Outback from a few years ago so they may have improved.

I think the Outback is much more likely to roll over given the outbacks tall suspension and id4's much lower center of gravity. Just saw an Outback rollover video today due to side impact. r/IdiotsInCars - Happened this morning on my way to work. Orange van inched forward which cued the Subaru to go. Her light was red.

If you watch the euro NCAP side impact for id.4 vs outback, the id.4 barely moves vertically while the Outback nearly rolled over.
