Speaking of rebates & used EVs, a $2500 federal rebate on used cars is being considered:

It would really be helpful for smoothing out the new vs. used dilemma that the large tax credit currently creates, although the car would have to be at least 2 years old as currently proposed and so it wouldn't apply to the situation in this particular thread.

Probably if you going to lower 7500 you will claim for EV purchase and couple thousands after 2000 miles driving
30k would be good that you can ask for.... Some states they are giving even more rebate over 7500 that all other states getting....if you are here to make flipping sale that is not very good from you.
No personal against you just a statement to anyone who considering to buy 2nd hand ID4

I understand your point on taxes and the federal EV credit. But, people who have a low tax liability and who don't want to lease a new vehicle to get the credit up front seriously narrows your market for a car over $40,000. A used car with a couple thousand miles on it, stripped of the rebate, realistically is not worth what you paid for it, including taxes. Possibly if there was an ID.4 shortage. I wish you good luck.

The counterpoint is that it's an excellent time to sell a vehicle, as dealers are clamoring for pre-owned.

OP, as cited above first give CarMax, Carvana, etc. a call as others have done very well by them of late. Although historically private sales garner more cash, right now these services are on par and hassle free.
One member even made a tidy profit selling his recently.

Yes, this is the best time in recent memory to sell a used car. Please update this thread when you sell it. Good luck
