I went to the VW forum and they have a VW Vin Decoder:
VIN Decoder - Volkswagen Forum - VW Forums for Volkwagen enthusiasts

When I bought my car off the lot (order cancellation), I asked the dealer and they could not determine which battery it had. It was kinda funny to watch them look through screens to determine...lol...and they never found it.

I just looked up my VIN and this was the result:
2023 Volkswagen ID.4 Pro RWD w/SK On Battery

Great site. Gives a lot of information on the vehicle.

It is clearly stated on MSRP label....using erWin and typing VIN number is easy way to see....but you have to remember that service department entrance person has very little or no knowledge about vehicles or how to use VW access tools...and if they are paid by commission...only thing they care is how far they can get your service ticket increased. From my visits all over US in last 2+ years i run across maybe on couple places that could answer simple questions regarding ID type of vehicles. Any complicated questions or concerns should be done with certified tech on duty....same thing applies to sales people in US ( they have no pride in what they represent or trying to learn what they sell). And this is not only at VW dealership's it is with MB and BMW dealership's....sales people are clueless when you ask them some questions about power trains or something that is usually only shared between manufacturers employees.
And my questions where very simple...if asking about ice engines i was asking what is so special about EA888 gen3b and what type of transmission is on 2022-23 Tiguan. Or can you explain more about Budack cycle engine found in some VW vehicles..... why did VW choose to go with Toyota transmission for America and not in EU..... or how 4 motion awd is different from other manufacturers.
Or asking salesperson how to use door handle on ID4...and how to use this door handle in emergency situations....or why there are 2 positions on inside of door for opening door...and how to properly use.
Or what should new owner should inspect when you open hood while charging....or if key fob has dead battery where to put key fob so you can start vehicle and get home or service department on ID4....all of this questions and many other should be answered by any sales person and especially someone who represents entrance door to services department....in my dad dealership's person who assigned you for service is person who is responsible for inspection and closing the ticket...and this has been checked by technician who worked on...person in charge who is in charge of all technicians ( usually person with a lot of experience) and service department entrance manager who has responsibility to overlook anything that this 2 people didn't catch. And this last person and first person you see is one that has years of experience working and continuing training on new vehicle's even his job is not to get dirty ( but if there is need for help in service department he will switch uniforms and get dirty if necessary).... even my dad will get in and get dirty if necessary.... because loyalty is never ending journey....so most of my dads customers are people who have come back 2-6 times in their lifetime to buy again new vehicle....because as much some brand is important to someone...it is way more important how you as owner is treated once you have needs for repairs or getting problems resolved. In last 2 years because my dad had record sales in history of owning dealership's...my dad have signed 30k bonus checks to all his employees. If you want loyal employees you should share your wealth with your people ( because any wealthy person knows that loyalty is never ending journey even with own employees) .
.. And my dad also will use me if necessary because he use me as example to other employees and drains his frustration on me if there is something he sees in his dealership's that are not working the way he likes. In my short time living in US ....i have learned that owners of dealership's here don't want to be buddies after work with own employees and listen for problems or issues they face in private life....sometimes what is out of reach for some employees is pocket change for owner. And there are some things money cannot buy...it is earned by helping someone who needs help.

It is NOT clearly stated on MSRP label. It is NOT on the label. According to VW corporate it is supposed to be, but it's not on my vehicle that was manufactured in Dec 2022.

Also I was not dealing with service. I was asking the sales department BEFORE I purchased the vehicle. My feeling is that they should know how to look it up.

Thanks for sharing, I entered my VIN number but I dont see it. went through all tabs.
I even tried to use search function with words Battery, LG and SK on each tab but nothing came up. As mine is AWD, I think it should be SK only.

Honestly I don't trust either source. I checked multiple VINs I found online as well as my own VIN from my Pro RWD that went to 35-1 today as well and they all show as SK on the decoder, but mine also shows as LG on the portal. Until I see a Mulroney sticker I am reserving judgement. I also am very curious when they built this thing if they got it to rail today. I don;t trust VW America much these days, and think there's a very good chance it was built prior to Jan 4 and they will still try to get the higher MSRP.

In their late Dec crap news email and MSRP increase FAQ they implied that we would hear when it's manufactured, but of course, no emails or anything...

Raising MSRP in the face of Tesla lowering MSRP doesn't seem like a great move to me, so I'm curious if there will be a glut of Pros soon like the Pro S AWDs are piling up.

Today a dealer called me out of the blue and offered me a Pro S AWD for MSRP - $2k.

I was happy when it showed I got the SK battery because I could use the 350kW chargers and go over 150, but since I have charged at EA three times and the best I saw was 76kW (other two were 46 and 42) I am not holding out any hope of ever seeing a 150+ number. I would be happy with a +100 number now. đź’© And all my charging was done in +70 degree weather.

It's possible you have a sticker from before they made the decision to use LG as well?

Here's one I saw today not from my res - it's from a different state:
