2100 under MSRP is a great deal, congratulations. I'm not sure what the dent and seat protection is, but even if it's worthless it's not like you're out a penny. Good job!
It’s just some BS dent repair and fabric spill protection for 36 months. But $2,100 under doesn’t include that $1,018. I got the car for $43 instead of the MSRP of $45 and then got the two protections thrown in for free too. Crazy based on what I’ve read here.2100 under MSRP is a great deal, congratulations. You can pump that $2100 into car washes to keep that black car looking clean. It’s just some BS dent repair and fabric spill protection for 36 months. But $2,100 under doesn’t include that $1,018. I tell you what, all the constant smudges on the piano black on the inside might just be the death of me.You can pump that $2100 into car washes to keep that black car looking clean.
I'm already stressed about this white wheel, I don't think I could handle a black exterior on top of that.I tell you what, all the constant smudges on the piano black on the inside might just be the death of me.
Yeah I already have hella smudges on the screens I might need to get that cover. The only time my wheel has been dirty was when service returned it to me with grease stains all over, which promptly wiped right off. Thankfully it's some kind of vegan/synthetic leather so it's not going to be wear as poorly as white leather would.
The piano black portions of the console can be vinyl wrapped if it's going to bother you and I saw around here someone linked to a screen cover for the infotainment.
My wife's strategy for keeping the white steering wheel clean is simple — she doesn't allow me to drive it! 😜I'm already stressed about this white wheel, I don't think I could handle a black exterior on top of that.
Nice! You should share your dealer name since you had such a great experienceI feel pretty lucky. I contacted three dealers within an hour or so of my house about if they were actually selling their 1st Editions or were they just demos. All three were willing to sell, but one sold before I could go see it, one had 2,100 miles on it and they wanted MSRP, but the other…
Black 1st Ed, 169 miles, $2,100 under MSRP and $1,018 worth of dent and seat protection for free. We did almost everything over the internet. No BS. No markups. Didn’t even pitch me gap or service plans when I went in to sign the final paperwork and hand them the check.
I count myself lucky.
I don't know if anyone else would get this price again tbh. 2100 below MSRP, it's not clear to me that they made any real money at all on that car.Nice! You should share your dealer name since you had such a great experience

AFAIK the dealer gave up $340 of its holdback?!
Well, 1739 of that was the markup from Invoice to MSRP. I mean most dealers wouldn't be wild about giving up on that but they'd give up some of it. But the dealer gave up $420 of his own extra profits in order to get this car off the lot! Did you check to make sure there wasn't a bomb strapped under the car or something.$2,159 to be exact
I just kept expecting the deal to change. Like how are they going to screw me over?? Where’s it coming from?? But we just closed and I drove away…Well, 1739 of that was the markup from Invoice to MSRP. I mean most dealers wouldn't be wild about giving up on that but they'd give up some of it. I mean it's one thing if that ID.4 had been sitting there for months collecting dust, but there's no way it had been there longer than like 2 weeks. Nothing about this makes sense, but kudos for you for getting the bank error in your favor.I just kept expecting the deal to change. Like how are they going to screw me over?? Hell, maybe so. I can’t even claim to be some awesome negotiator. They’re a no haggle dealership. They sent me the discounted price right off the bat when I asked if it was available.I mean it's one thing if that ID.4 had been sitting there for months collecting dust, but there's no way it had been there longer than like 2 weeks. Was the dealership GM giving you googly eyes?Maybe s/he slipped you a phone number on the way out?
The wheel wrap is real leather - the only real leather in the vehicle.Thankfully it's some kind of vegan/synthetic leather so it's not going to be wear as poorly as white leather would.
Did you take a loan through the finance person? If so you might look at the interest rate. Somewhere on this thread invoice was mentioned, but I've always thought of invoice as a phony number. My viewpoint, right or wrong, has been that at the end of the month/quarter many cars dealers make about 20% gross profit on a car when they sell at MSRP. And that's not including the profit on loans, service plans, extended warranties, gap insurance, etc., that the finance person tries to sell. It's good to see that some dealers are starting to discount ID.4s as MSRP is a high price to pay for any car, no matter how good.I feel pretty lucky.
