Yes, defending against the ensuing lawsuits regarding a faulty product - the original 12V battery not being sufficient - is a lot cheaper and more efficient. My current estimate is NEVER. It was costing them too much, so they stopped the program.
It was suspended, not stopped. It will resume. My current estimate is NEVER. It was costing them too much, so they stopped the program.
They already updated how many cars in Europe? And they're still this incompetent at updating from 2.1? Shouldn't they have learned there? VW is clueless with software. What's the point of updating all cars with the same errors every time.
It is better not to restart the updates until all errors have been corrected.
First and second wave are done and 3.0 is now in wide distribution to everyone. When it comes available for a specific car is anyone's guess. They already updated how many cars in Europe?
No one is updating from 2.1. First of all, Europe got 2.3 OTA years ago.And they're still this incompetent at updating from 2.1?
What I mean is that they update how many cars in Europe from 2.1 originally? So they have a ton of experience, supposedly, upgrading from 2.1 that happened in like 2021 right? And they are this inept at upgrading a much smaller number from 2.1? It's hilariousFirst and second wave are done and 3.0 is now in wide distribution to everyone. Anecdotally, the 'net is full of reports of 3.0 OTA.

Second, here the new 12V battery and 2.4 are a mandatory step; there's no going from 2.3 to 3.0.
If you mean how many cars they have updated to 2.4 (including new 12V) and are ready for 3.0, the answer seems to be "everyone who booked a time to get it done".
I don't think the issue is the "from", it's the "to". Some of the older modules have been found to be tricky to update; the reason for needing it done in the shop. US was going straight to 3.1, I hear? What I mean is that they update how many cars in Europe from 2.1 originally? If I recall correctly, European never got 2.1, I believe they went from 2.0 to 2.3 (except the ID.3, which I think started with 1.9).What I mean is that they update how many cars in Europe from 2.1 originally? I have not heard that it ever was available as an update (to ID.3), but on launch ID.4 was sold with 2.1.If I recall correctly, European never got 2.1, --
Huh, my recollection was you guys launched with 2.0 while US 1st Editions sat at port waiting for 2.1 updates before shipping out to dealerships. But if you had 2.1, then I'm clearly wrong. Maybe I'm confusing it with Chris from Battery Life and his ID.3?I have not heard that it ever was available as an update (to ID.3), but on launch ID.4 was sold with 2.1.
There was just someone asking on local social media like "Heyy, are the updates happening or something, I seem to have read something?". That person was driving around with 2.1 and completely unaware of the 12V battery and 2.4 campaign.
Actually never heard of anyone having 2.0..?
I am piecing stuff together from what I read, I was not even peripherally aware of this back then, but I have seen several mentions of ID.4 getting updated specifically from 2.1 to 2.3 via OTA, and a few users stating that they are still on 2.1 as they missed the email about signing up for 2.3 way back then etc.Huh, my recollection was you guys launched with 2.0 --
