Picked up my id4 two weeks ago, and this morning it occurred to me that I hadn’t double checked that my software was up to date from the dealership.

Went out to the car, held down the home button, selected software updates/versions, and instead of the screen showing the software numbers I got an alert that said something like “Software is being updated. Do not use the vehicle, infotainment will be rebooted.” Ok…selected “updated software” and then…nothing happened except the alert going away. No process bar, not notification, nothing.

is there any way to track the progress of whatever update it thinks it’s doing?

It’s a default message and actually it is doing nothing. It’s speculated this option is used for updating via USB

Got it, thank you. Is there anyway to see my current software versions then? Might be misunderstanding the original way I found.

yes, you can find it under settings -> system information (out of the top of my head)

There are no updates for the US market for the dealer to install.
