There's a thread for things people want changed. But I feel like it includes too much hardware and I was wanting a thread focused on software that is currently possible. We all know brake hold and plug & charge are coming and bug fixes but there could be more updates to comfort & convenience. My big one that I just experienced after coming home from work is the light near the charger port doesn't always turn on. I had to turn on my garage lights to be able to plug-in. I'd like for it to turn on all the time when the cap is open and maybe turn on again when the car sees you approach again.

my guess is they reversed it, so you can find it in the dark, as the climate buttons are also unlit.

I started out as a huge B-mode fan, but over time have concluded it is only nice in busy city traffic. If you have the option to let the car roll out with your foot off the pedal, and then brake, you’re both using regen and just rolled 400-600 yards for free towards the red light, etc.
Just doesn’t works when there are others breathing down your hatch, or where you constantly need to brake, change direction, etc.

D-mode is really teaching me to anticipate further ahead and drive more relaxed

Not sure, VW seems to be believe in teaching the power of coasting. The European 2.3 code e.g. really shows with hints in the ID light and on the little dash when you should take your foot off the peddle to optimally coast until the next intersection, etc.
It also applies additional regen itself when it thinks that you approach a corner or intersection to fast (only when coasting).
So in essence the are building a one pedal driving solution based on coasting and intelligence
