Steering Wheel Hands-On Nannie

I just lay my hand on the bottom of the wheel with my arm on the arm rest … but your 23 sadly lacks the cool arm rests of our German built cars. ;) I do find that it can’t sense my hand as well if it’s near a spoke in the wheel, so move it away from any of the spokes …. But I never need to grip the wheel, just rest it on the inside of the bottom and gravity holds it there.
I'm the same. With Travel Assist activated, 90% of the time I drive with just my right hand positioned at about 5 o'clock with my arm laying on the arm rest - If I had a '23, I would trade it straight across for a '21 or a '22 because without the arm rests, it wouldn't be a comfortable car to drive on a long trip, at least not for me. Why they eliminated the arm rests on the newer cars is a mystery, as they are one of the most important features of the car, IMO

My approach is to use travel assist generously. I find that if I drive as I normally would, TA rarely intervenes.
I use mine almost everywhere - Especially in city traffic. I like the gentle tug on the wheel when I get too close to the edges of my lane, and in traffic, the adaptive cruise is a real plus
