I'm finally at step 2, after 9 days. Paid my $400 bucks and have an estimated arrival of "Aug 2021".

Is 3 to 4 months the date most of you got when you initially locked ?

Has that time estimate gotten better, with time ?

BTW, the reservation is for a plain white Pro with nothing added.

I hit step 2 for a RWD Pro S after seven days from the initial order. My estimated arrival at the local dealer is also August.

Before you receive your car, there are three big items that each take some time -- first, the factory has to make the car. Then it has to be shipped from Germany to the US and make it through Customs. The final big step is it has to be transported from the port of entry to the local dealer. If everything runs perfectly and is well synced, you might end up with your car in July, but August is not an unreasonable estimate. The only people who seemed to have received theirs earlier involved another customer who had ordered an identical car much earlier and then canceled their order. If you are lucky, you could end up with the car that was canceled by the earlier buyer who backed out. While it can happen, it is not something I'd count on as a likely situation.
