Step 2 Coming Up Soon

Noticed today that a Step 2 tab is now highlighted on the delivery process for FE. When you click on it prompts to insure all configuration changes are completed. My guess is it will be activated this week to complete $400 deposit and lock in.

What time did you lock in your order?

Did not lock in yet. On my timeline a highlighted “2” has appeared on lock in step. You can click on it and it gives you a prompt to call a number to make sure all configuration changes are made before paying $400 deposit. No doubt this tab will be activated very soon to accept $400 deposit.

When you click on 2 it pop ups a the bottom with : If you have any edits to your configuration, they must be made before you submit your order payment. For changes to First Edition Reservations please contact VW Customer CARE at 1-800-822-8987.

No, your original order. VW told me it’s in order if reservation. I was told I’m #115. My order was placed at 1:23pm EST.

Mine says that now!

My reservation confirmation was before 12:30 EST.
My portal login has looked like that since launch day.

Really? Mine only said you have to confirm you edits before you lock in. Now it’s different.

I think we are all very eager to order the car :) I think the blue dot has to move to stage 2 before we can place our orders ?

I agree. But my wording definitely changed.
I wonder if I can change to white. Hmmmm. Maybe I'll call tomorrow.

My Step 2 has had this pop up message on the bottom "upon click" since the next step email last week. Prior to the "get ready" email, Step 2 had a locked hyperlink. I think you are just noticing it now.
Sounds like we are getting close. Get your credit card ready.

Thats good to know since may time is 1016 Pacific. I should be in the first 100 0r thereabouts.

No additional tab on my confirm order page.. only 2 button that displays the message.
I wouldn't read too much into the design change. Web apps get updated all the time.
Regarding the inability of some here to see the update: The tracker app code has instructions for your browser to cache it for 24h, and if you check the tracker more than once a day, chances are high that it won't easily update itself and show an older design. Pro tip for Chrome users: open the developer console with Cmd-Option-I (Mac) or Ctrl-Alt-I (PC), disregard the ensuing panel or window, but check the reload button: It now has a menu of three options, incl. the powerful "Empty cache and hard reload", which I like to think of as "forget everything and start over, and I mean it!". It should force the updated design for you, if available.
