For the US are the suspension components and part numbers the same between the RWD and AWD / single motor vs. dual motor ID.4

If not what’s the difference? Also, how does the suspension fair on rough roads and in the curves?

Thanks

Higher ride height too and I do recall the springs are different (at least on the front) from someone who posted a BOM and that could account for that small difference in ride height.

The AWD version unfortunately has a higher ride height ( who is really going to go off road?). The GTX has a ride height closer to the RWD model. The Audi Q4 has a ride height comparable to the RWD ID.4......both RWD or AWD from what I have read.

Not interested in off-road, but rutted, unmaintained dirt road travel which I hope the AWD will handle as well as my Subaru. And even when not actually improving handling, California chain control rules favor AWD. I hate putting on chains. These were big inducements for the AWD.

Me! My driveway is a mile long, steep 4WD road, so I do it every day. Its one of the main things I like about he ID.4 or I might have bought a Tesla MY long ago.

I am wondering how we can fool the chain control police if we buy the 3 mountain snowflake tires? It might be easy with this car. And it always seems to be the honor system the tons of times I have seen it and they only checked my Subaru tire type once.

I need the higher height for the occasional deep snow, gravel road, mud, pothole, stadium parking lot, etc. It just happens here and there, often when least expected. I drive a car to get from point A to point B safely, reliably and cheaply. I get complaints from the other driver if I go fast on the fun roads anyway. The complaints are even worse if the wheels or car spin a bit. Our new Blizzaks (Prius Prime) on our suburban driveway had some trouble on the ice last week: instead of hearing about waiting for "your car," I suddenly heard interest in the kick open tailgate, rear windshield wiper and AWD on our ID.4 sitting in Emden; maybe she will drive it too. Yipee!
