The Good-Bye Screen Mystery Pencil

Can anyone tell me what the little pencil in the upper right hand of the good-bye screen does? You can toggle it on or off but it doesn't seem to edit anything. Thanks.

You can rearrange the order of the items on the screen.

Thanks. One day I will feel in control of this vehicle.
Recommend you go through all the well done VW Tutorial YouTube videos. As well as the various new owner stickied threads here. Much easier than posting a new thread for every question. ;)

Yes, there's much to learn in this "tablet controlled" vehicle.

Thanks. One day I will feel in control of this vehicle.

Didn't mean to clog up the forum. I have watched the videos and I search previous posts but there's always some little detail that is never mentioned. For example, in the ID.4 built-in navigation the arrival time to the destination is given in a 24 hour clock format (military time) which I don't like. I have found no way or discussion anywhere to change this to AM/PM. Thanks.
Setting AM/PM 'civilian' time in the infotainment system carries over to all sub-systems. My Nav arrival time projection is AM/PM. Thus far it's remained so since initial setting.

Although every once in awhile my outside temperature reverts to Celsius. I think it might be when my ID.4 phones home to check for an update. :ROFLMAO:

That doesn't work for mine. I have it set to AM/PM too. The clock is civilian but the navigation is military. I have it set for automatic time. I will try setting it to manual to see if that makes a difference. It's these kind of quirks that drive me nuts.

FYI, I played around with the screen rearrangement and you can even add another. But, did not do anything for me. Also, I believe that it may revert on an update.

Just yesterday afternoon I noted my built-in Nav projected "time of arrival" was in 24-hour time, yet my time of day was in 12-hour.

btw: You've likely noted you can toggle the Nav time on the screen to remaining minutes countdown vs. a projected TOA, but no apparent way to set to 12-hour projected.

I could have sworn I prior had 12-hour for both. But perhaps not. Or perhaps resultant of map update? Apologies if I misled you and others.

I wish there was a way to directly submit bugs to VW. It would be a waste of time to try and go through the dealer for stuff like this. Maybe post about it in the German forums? Mein Deutsch is nich gut. Then again, when I had the Kona, the Korean forums were even more incomprehensible to me.

Thanks for the toggle tip. I did not know about it. I now have it set to minutes countdown. That 24 hour clock drove me nuts. This is so much better, at least for me.
