Did this happen already? I couldn't find the live video.
They never went live afaik. I also wonder if other dealers in the area (SF or Oakland) will have similar events this week. It's really odd how badly all this is communicated by both dealers and VOA.

‘Hey Kitt, they didn’t go live on FB until 10.50am and then went to about 11.15pm. There were plenty of folks waiting around to see the car. We got to see it only briefly as there was plenty of interest. It looks great! Only managed to get a couple of pics. The mobility specialist did state that the First Edition cars will be delivered to customers on March 8th and the first Pro's in April May. The car is size larger than e-golf and a little smaller than the Tiguan. I also learned reading German forum's and watching German Youtube Vids that the final software has only just been completed
(couple ow weeks ago) and this could be the cause of delay.

Thanks! I didn't wait that long but will watch the replay. Great photos. Did they mention anything about similar events in SF or Oakland by any chance? March for the 1st editions is later than I expected. That's disappointing.

No mention of events at other dealerships in the Bay Area. The dealership had a large enclosed transport VW branded truck parked there and it is being used to ship the vehicle around the country. Yes, I was surprised by the news of shipment date. The eMobility specialist was aware of the forum and has a first edition reservation himself.

Well, if the specialist reads the forums and given the delay, maybe there's still time for them to add the heat pump to the configuration ;)

I wouldn't count on the heat pump. Although I'd like to have one living in the Midwest, I really don't think we'll see it on the FE.

So are these pics from that event?
If so, that can't be the same vehicle that's in Detroit/Chicago this week. I wonder how many are floating around.

Yes from the San Jose event. VW must have a whole bunch of white FE models touring the country inside VW transport rigs

Perhaps all the these ID4’s will end up being the demonstrators at selected state dealerships.

Does anyone know if it is confirmed that it won’t have the birds-eye view camera. I asked vw on Twitter and they told me that it would have it
It does not. The dealership representative told me that it would require side cameras and front camera, which the ID4 do not have.

I called Bill Jacobs VW (Naperville, Chicago area) this morning. Unfortunately the showing today is cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions now in place in the Chicago area.

WHAT!? Now that's a bummer.:(

Just got off the phone with Autobarn of Countryside and they were awaiting an answer from VW regarding tomorrow's showing. When I told him Bill Jacobs was canceled, he and I agreed there was no chance they would be showing the car tomorrow. Continuing bummer...

Just received a message from my EV specialist at Volkswagen of Kirkland (WA) about the delay. Mentioned in the message was that they will have one of the demos on site on Monday, December 7.

Let’s hope they can work it out around the restrictions. They asked for RSVPs so maybe they will be spreading people out over the day as a consideration? 🤷‍♂️

I'm not sure about that, but Campbell VW (just North of Seattle) said they would be getting two ID.4s for test drives in mid December. They didn't know which trim, but I assume they would both be 1st editions.

Thanks for the test drive possibility up in Edmonds.

Was contacted today by my dealer in Denver (Emich VW) and they are hosting viewings on 12/10 for preorder holders. I think McDonald VW (also in Denver) is hosting viewings on 12/9. It’ll be nice to finally see an ID.4 in person; dealer stated it’ll be a prototype Pro.
