I had to reload several items on my phone and my contacts are missing from my car now.

I have a Samsung Note 8
Android Auto is installed and works. I always plug the phone in via a USB port since the charging pad just over heats the phone and doesn't charge anyway.

I remember when I first got the car downloading my contacts to the car, but for the life of me I can't remember how I did it.

Thanks for any tip you guys can give me. I'm stuck.

I've had my ID.4 since July and I've never figured out how to get the contacts on my iPhone to load onto the car. I don't even think about it any more because my phone automatically connects via Bluetooth and that works perfectly.

My car did it automatically, with no prompting from me - I'm pretty sure I could never figure out how to manually do it either

In my first few months of ownership my contacts loaded fine and worked great. Now they are gone and they will not load. There is a "load contacts" command in a menu somewhere but when I do that nothing happens. Mentioned it on the 10k mile checkup and they had no answers.

I think your comment made a light come on in my head. My contacts loaded and worked fine early on and quit working about the time the Verizon trial account ceased and I did not continue with it. I just hadn't put that together in my mind yet.

I do use Android Auto and things work fine then from my cell phone unlimited account. It seems the contacts loading to the car much have to load to the trial account.

No, I'm perfectly happy with using CarPlay. My phone contacts are all intact anytime I'm driving.

I reset the car to factory to wipe out all settings When I set up I saw a 'do you want to load contacts' Now all good
