When I took delivery of my ID.4, the dealership told me I couldn't get a tow hitch installed - I would have to make an appointment with service. (I didn't order online.)
Now that it's 4 months later, I was told that they don't offer it as an accessory and another service department told me that it will cost close to $1,000 because they have to cut a hole in the bumper.
All I want is to be able to attach a bike rack.
Any suggestions??

After you install a bike rack, what steps do you have to take to prevent the sensors from going crazy? Specifically, will the car autonomously brake when backing up with a bicycle fully loaded? TIA

This post shows something that VW should really implement to make our lives much easier. The first wou ld be a bike rack button, so that you don't have to guess your way to the right menu options. The next would be a car wash button. There are probably other common situations as well.
