We used to live in CT, near Darien… very pretty, but I’ve never felt like I was so far from everywhere!
Only reason I had a clue it was the flag of New York was “Excelsior” which I learned from the movie Silver Linings Playbook. Eagles fan with personal motto of “Excelsior” goes to a Giants game = bad mojo.
I am from a different TriState. Sorry this flag is way too big, did it from my phone so I wasn't sure how big it was..

Yes, the Norwalk-Darien-Stamford area is very pretty. 👍 ... and most residents want it far from "everywhere" (aka NYC).
We love that we can get to Grand Central in NYC in 45 minutes from the train station or drive in to see friends in Queens in the same amount of time (dependent on the time and day...lol), but also love that we can pretend we live in the woods with deer and foxes traipsing along in our backyard.Yes, the Norwalk-Darien-Stamford area is very pretty. 👍 ... and most residents want it far from "everywhere" (aka NYC).

Love it! We actually go the opposite way here in NJ - we over-estimate how long it takes to get in to make us sound tough ;-) And to encourage folks moving out of the city to go to Long Island or Upstate instead! (Attn residents of Brooklyn, Montclair and Maplewood are full~"Everyone near NYC can quote exactly how much time it takes them to get into the city. )The funny thing is that I used to to commute to Stamford from Queens and I used the gym near my work, so I used to leave....at 5:00 AM and knew exactly how long it took for me to get there (50 min...sometimes even 49 min if I was feeling speedy 😉), leaving at 5:15 PM, it took an hour and 15 to get back. But sometimes if it was a Friday and someone was driving poorly and got into an accident on the Whitestone Bridge...it'd be about 2 hours. However, during April of 2020, it took 50 minutes, because everyone was at home -- best NYC commute that will hopefully never be replicated. But yes, Mr. Seinfeld is spot on 😂. It takes me about 5 minutes at 5am. Much, much longer by car at 8am but i don't try because tolls and parking. Train and ferry is much better. I'm about a mile from the Holland Tunnel in Jersey City. I have a 21 Pro S purchased March 2022 at Reydel Linden. Cherry Hill NJ here. 2021 ID 4 Pro S. 14000 miles, no problems except for rare software hiccup. Unable to do the recall to date. Local dealer (Cherry Hill VW) will not give a loaner. Dealer purchased from does not have the tech as yet. (Hamilton VW).
My previous commute was from Cherry Hill to the Bronx for teaching. It was a once a week commute off rush hour (ha) . The worst was the Cross Bronx Expy. going to the GW bridge. On a bad day or almost any day it was 1-2 hours to go 6 miles. I usually cut through Manhattan taking the Harlem River Drive to the bridge. I retired when COVID hit in '21. sold two card and bought the ID4, now a one car family.

Had to have the passenger door handle replaced due to water ingress and spontaneous opening but no problems otherwise.
