Would it be dumb to sign a Bank of America 8+% private party rate to have a quick process, then immediately refinance to Tower? I’d like to close on my car tomorrow but cant wait the 2-3 weeks processing time that Tower has because the seller won’t wait

You don't have to immediately refinance with Tower. Call tower, tell them what you're planning to do. Sometimes Credit Unions will still refinance your car with the new auto rate. Once you make your first payment with Bank of America, you can then refinance with Tower

BofA is 8%, but it could probably be done all in one sitting. Tower looks like weeks of processing, which neither me nor the seller can do. I want to get BofA’s check tomorrow, but then immediately refi once the dust settles. Tower said their refi rates are the same. Does this make sense ?

I want to just show the process of what I’m doing - if anyone can confirm that this will work, please.
so I got approved for LightStream at 6.5% instantly (the lowest for private party). My thoughts are to take this loan, because I can get $ tomorrow and maybe have my car within a few days. Tower will take 2-3 weeks for a check. So I wan to change my current Tower application from “new” to”refi”, and lock in the 2.99 or anything closer to that once the dust settles. Does this sound right ?

Applied to Tower on Wednesday, received conditional approval for my refinance at 2.99% this morning. Now I have 30 days to get all the documents in. Might be a little tight since Colorado hasn’t sent me my registration notification yet but it should all work out. Thanks @javi_ID4 for putting all this info together!

I just noticed that Tower used car rates are the same as new cars. Good choice if you need to refinance.

1) I am an employee of a business that is within Tower's field of membership
2) I am a member of an association that tis within Toweer's field of membership
3) I am related to a current Tower member.

Which option is appropriate?

You want to pick option two, but only if you have already made the $35 donation to their foundation.

2. On the Tower CU site select "I am a member of an association that tis within Toweer's field of membership"

I messaged a CSR this morning using their iMessage service, and they said that a specialist would email me shortly about the application. Then within about 20 minutes of that message, I got the email.

I applied with Gold Coast FCU on the 14th, and have heard anything back at all. I tried calling them this morning and was on hold for 20 minutes before I gave up. Guess I'll try Tower.

With gold coast you have to wait on hold for 30-40 minutes usually to get to someone.

3. Park Community Credit Union offering 3.25% up to 48 months and 3.50% up to 60 months. The Credit Union has an open membership for anyone who joins the Financial Fitness Association with an $8.00 donation.

I would remove Park Community. They do not appear to be approving new members for accounts or loans virtually. I received the same message above telling me to visit a local branch. No fraud alerts, freezes, negative accounts, public records, etc. on my file. No information provided from the bank or representative whom sent the email stating as to why I need to visit a local branch. Just told that my virtual application cannot be completed and a hard pull was done on my credit file.
