Thanks for the tip
Thanks for the tipI or my passenger have already broken two USB plugs dur to the location right by the lower View attachment 5197 cup holder. This is my solution available on Amazon
Only aftermarket..... because of some markets require Airbag between driver and passenger in case of side accidents....And there are laws in some states that prohibit any attachments to the windshield or wire hanging from top of windshield.@VW TECHNICIAN any way to convince VW or any automaker at this point to put a USB-C port in the Rearview Mirror location....
I’d happily take a readily accessible wiring harness and a small gap that could be used to run a cable.Only aftermarket..... because of some markets require Airbag between driver and passenger in case of side accidents....And there are laws in some states that prohibit any attachments to the windshield or wire hanging from top of windshield.
Implementation to dashboard and other locations are more likely to be considered....
Sadly, the VERY overpriced OEM cable has the right angle on the Lightning end. The USB-C end needs the angle and that's just the normal straight.I noticed that the overpriced OEM charging cables also have this feature. I can't help but wonder if someone noticed the issue too late in the design and the workaround was special cables.
