Took a longer drive over the weekend and the steering seems a little vague cruising on the highway. Have Sport mode/steering selected. I expected sport mode to firm the steering up but it doesn't seem to.

Is that your experience as well.

I experienced this, but not initially. About the third time I was on the highway, I noticed that the steering seemed just a little unresponsive. I soon figured out that I had accidentally turned on Travel Assist ( I didn't even know it had it). If you are not sure Travel Assist was off, read the manual carefully. The controls are not intuitive at all, and I thought I was turning on ACC. It didn't seem like it was steering unless I let go of the wheel, but it just felt funny. Not like If lane assist is not working. I drove down Highway 1 when it was about half striped right after repaving a couple of months ago, and the lane assist tried to run me off the road. Not easy to figure out how to turn it off.

I have used both Travel Assist and ACC, coming from a Tesla I am used to the technology. It was while travel assist was on I noticed that the steering wasn't firm. Both features can easily be tuned off, just tap the brakes, its like traditional cruise control.
