According to Auto Motor Und Sport, the ID.3 is not up to "VW's usual high requirements for body parts fit accuracy, minimal gaps, high-quality materials, and finish."

Some of their quotes are pretty damning. Including the photo of underneath the frunk lid.

The infotainment system only starts up slowly, the navigation system often remains disoriented for several hundred meters. The system does not call up online services at all.

AutoCar also discovered some issues as well, mainly with the interior:

"Although the build quality is up to the high standard we expect from VW, the materials are not. There are some agreeable slush-moulded plastic elements atop the dashboard but there is also a lot of hard plastic throughout the cabin. It is a clear cost-cutting move used to help offset the high costs of the battery."

But they finish off the article by saying the ID 3 should be on your list for consideration.
