Volkswagen ID.4 Towing Capacity

VW has confirmed that the ID.4 can tow up to 4,200 lbs. Compared to the Tesla Model Y, and the much bigger and higher priced Tesla Model X, Volkswagen's first all-electric SUV performs reasonably well here for its size and price. See it as an in-between of those two Tesla SUV's, but at a better price point.

An ID.4 prototype was spied towing a trailer in the Alps
That's really quite impressive. I don't think any compact SUV (ICE or EV) can tow that much.

Are those European tow ratings? US site says 2,200 lbs for RWD and 2,700 lbs for AWD

1 ) is the hitch standard on ID 4 Pro S ? Anyone know tongue weight ? Should be about 10% of Trailer Max or 210lbs but I do not see the spec anywhere ? I'm reserved and so excited to tow my track bike.
4,200 lb. would need a class III hitch. 1¼" hitch is only Class I or II.

The hitch is standard on the F.E. and future AWD models.

Hitch is standard on the AWD version and I think the 1st edition. Don't think it is standard on any other version.
