I wonder, how many potential customers they are going to lose by not offering the ID.4 Max for reservation? They have already lost me.
I’m guessing a lot has to do with keeping the price point where it came out at. Adding some of the features from the Max would have boosted that price.Every driver has unique needs. I think we all understand that. The manufacturer's aim, therefore, should be to satisfy all or most of the needs of their market segment. hopefully, VW has particularly good reasons for what I consider their short-sighted view on the ID.4 trims available for reservation in the USA.
I don’t think you understood me. There is no Max coming here which I think you get. They continuously stated throughout the last couple of years where they wanted the price to fall. I think they set the price point they wanted to be at and worked backwards from there giving the maximum options that would appeal to the most people with the costs considered. So adding those features you are asking for would have pushed the price higher than they wanted to be and VW took an assumption that those features do not have the broadest appeal and therefore not worth including to start. I’m sure later models will come with those things as either single add one or part of packages. Not that hard to understand really. That does not make much sense to me. If the price of the ID.4 Max is the issue (which I doubt), then that would mean the ID.4 Max would not be offered in the USA, until such time that the price is reduced.
That would be like VW not offering the Tiguan SEL Premium because it costs more than the Tiguan SEL.
I don't agree with you logic so let us agree to disagree.I don’t think you understood me. There is no Max coming here which I think you get. Fair enough. Would like to know why you think these things aren’t being offered then.I don't agree with you logic so let us agree to disagree.
By saying let us agree to disagree I was implying that I see no personal benefit in continuing this discussion.Fair enough. Would like to know why you think these things aren’t being offered then.
Apologies for trying to understand your side of things.By saying let us agree to disagree I was implying that I see no personal benefit in continuing this discussion.
