Hi Eric, nothing like that. I was able to buy a set of the OEM 19" wheels/tires from a new ID.4 owner that went for the black wheels. I live in San Diego and do not need a 2nd set of wheels/tires.
The 20" are 20% rougher on bumps based on my seat of the pants testing

I find the ride of my FE with 20s rather harsh. I rode in my sister's '21 Tiguan this weekend and thought the ride was more supple than my ID.4. After a couple days on the 19 inch wheels, they do seem a bit bouncier. However if I set it to sport, it feels good.
Now your ID4 and mine won't be identical twins in town anymore.
Haha so true! I am liking the 19in wheels though. I’ve seen many ID.4’s around in SD.. there are 2 in my neighborhood already!
Might be interested, I’m in San Diego and expecting to pick up my car tomorrow. My car comes with the 19” and was considering the 20”. Will let you know.

What does one need to do to recalibrate the ID4 speedometer when changing ones wheel/tire diamener?
My assumption that since the 19 and 20 inch pen wheel+tire the same diameter, I didn’t need to do anything extra besides the tire pressure reset.
If you go with the factory recommended sizes of tires the 19 and 20 they are the same circumference and no recalibrating is needed. I would not go outside the recommended sizes since there is no benefit to that.
