Volvo has revealed a new EV called the C40 which looks to be around the same size as the XC40 Recharge.

Volvo claims the C40 Recharge will have specs such as:

420 km range (261 miles)
0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds
402 horsepower
Google built in
100% leather free
80% charge in just 40 mins with 150 kW DC fast charging

Interesting observation. Makes sense to use a few parts or just inspiration from the sister brand. I like this version a lot better than the boxy XC40. If the price is right it'll hit a sweet spot.

The best quote from this video is "The day a brand new car leaves the factory is no longer necessarily its finest." He was talking specifically about being able to increase the range via OTA updates, but there are so many other ways to improve a car over time. I think this holds true for the ID.4 as well.

My very first car was a Volvo, and I've owned a couple through the years, including one that literally saved my life. There's a lot of sentimental value there. Depending on pricing and timeliness I'd consider it, but I think I'll be satisfied with the ID.4. We'll see lots of improvements in EVs over the next 3-5 years, so I'll play it by ear.
