Volkswagen has taken the first step to electrifying its R lineup with the Touareg R. Making around 460 hp thanks to a 3.0-liter V6 and a 130 hp electric motor, the sporty SUV is the first plug-in hybrid R vehicle and the first step towards electrification of the R GmbH sub-brand.
