I want auto lock 10 seconds triggered by lifting off the seat, driver door open and close, and key no longer detected.
With a prompt if the rear seats are thought to have occupancy.I want auto lock 10 seconds triggered by lifting off the seat, driver door open and close, and key no longer detected.
I think their overall software problems are huge and span the entire range of products, not just the EVs. But the timeline now of the non-rollout of updates to the 2021 customers has become a complete embarrassment. And impossible to understand. Seriously, what can possibly explain it at this point?I am with you guys I have had my 22 for 3 months and would really appreciate some kinda of software update right about now. It’s pretty pathetic how big this gap is with just no updates at all. Fire whoever is in charge with VW’s software 🙄
Incompetence.Seriously, what can possibly explain it at this point?
3 months? I had mine for 21 months before an update and some folks are going on 22 months now. Lets get the 2.1 folks updated before we worry about any later version.I am with you guys I have had my 22 for 3 months and would really appreciate some kinda of software update right about now. Sorry but that is just pathetic to put it in nice terms. Unacceptable if you asked me I mean VW wants to make these ID4’s in a hurry but what happens to the software side of things? I certainly understand those wanting to jump ship and get a telsa I mean software and charging network nobody comes close. Ok build quality is awesome on the ID4 but is this enough? They better not make me wait a year for an update.3 months? I had mine for 21 months before an update and some folks are going on 22 months now. What are you gonna do? Buy a Tesla? They better not make me wait a year for an update.
I love my car but who knows how I will feel a year from now. I certainly think VW needs to step up their game and do better. What are you gonna do? Buy a Tesla?
I agree with you but I'm not buying a MYI certainly think VW needs to step up their game and do better.
CarPlay EV Routing via Apple Maps is such a no brainer add for any EV that already supports CarPlay. So frustrating that the Mustang Mach-E is the only car to support it so far. VW’s route planning would improve by leaps and bounds overnight by just adding support for this.
- Reliable dome light “doors open” memory and operation
- Auto lock car when walking away
- Remote lock/unlock and lock status in app
- Apple Maps EV routing integration
- Apple CarKey support
- Paid area view and park assist retrofit options

Do they have much control over CarPlay? I thought they were developing their own app while car play is an afterthought 3rd party. My EA app on CarPlay isn’t even working anymore for the entire week. Locating an EA location is not smooth and doesn’t even give you a list. On Tesla there’s a list with 10 superchargers nearby. On the VW map, the status is not updated and there were 2 other iD4 waiting where as the phone app is accurate. 🙄CarPlay EV Routing via Apple Maps is such a no brainer add for any EV that already supports CarPlay. Apple Maps will handle route planning if the vehicle passes SOC to CarPlay. This has nothing to do with the EA app. Apple Maps will do all the work and takes elevation into account, as well.View attachment 20219

So who’s responsible for implementing, Apple or VW? The latter can’t even get 💩 right.Apple Maps will handle route planning if the vehicle passes SOC to CarPlay. This has nothing to do with the EA app. Apple Maps will do all the work and takes elevation into account, as well.

Good idea to put it on the floor inside. That way people walking by can’t clandestinely switch it to reserve then when you start to run out and stop to switch it to reserve it is already on reserve and you are SOL! ⚡What is needed is a lever on the floor of the car that switches over to the spare electricity when you move it to the "reserve" position. And that you have to remember to put back to "open" when you charge the car.
VW… and as you pointed out, that’s the problem. But would probably be easier/faster for them to implement this than to get their own route planning up to par (which they need to do eventually, regardless). So who’s responsible for implementing, Apple or VW? The latter can’t even get 💩 right.
