Anyone following this adventure? I am , with mixed feelings.
they seem to go without problems for days ,and the dealers can't get parts to fix the new ID 4 that we got last month. Water pump out 20 days and counting.2 cars at the dealer already.

I have over 10k on mine and have just had software issues that corrected themselves. Although there have been serious issues with some cars, most members have only had experiences similar to mine.

They missed the boat with planning this tour. There has been no way to get advance notice when they would arrive in a particular area. Could have been fun to caravan between dealerships.

I have been on the forum and searching/ researching this car for the past few months daily. This is the first I heard of this. Why not promote it ...anywhere? Is it over or still going on? I see no schedule anywhere. looks like they have skipped the southern half of the US. Avoiding Delta?

I woke the Guys up here in St Cloud MN about 2 weeks ago. They were sleeping at a "slow" 50kw charger"...Assuming because it's the fastest thing around here. I didnt really get to talk to them. I literally woke them up walking around the car taking photos.. didnt realize there was anyone in it.

7am or so, they started coming out , looking pretty rough camping out in the ID 4 ..of course all the nighclubs were just 1 block away...not saying I know what they did the night before ...but they were looking rough

I gave them a very cheery Good Morning ..and had to take off as I had a Uber passenger waiting.

I was aware of the Tour, hell if I had been paying attention and knew they were coming in I would have invited them over to the house. We have an apartment in the basement



BTW ...Electrify America is one of the main sponsors ...EA as most know has the REAL fast chargers up to 350Kw...well that all Stops in Minneapolis.. I'm in St Cloud MN right wher eth eBlue dot is and 50kW MAX is all these guys are going to see from here on west.

I tried to time it and meet them at my dealership, but they ended up stopping at an EA charger for over 2 hours and I didn’t feel like sitting at the dealership any longer, especially because there wasn’t a guarantee they were going to stop. A schedule would have been nice, even if it was general.

Yep. Been keeping up with it every day. Very interesting. Noticed in one photo they had two extra wheels and tires in the back. They have visited many VW dealers and many EA chargers. Should be good PR for VW.

I just missed them charging at my local EA station. Someone mentioned it would have been nice to know where/when... I agree.

This post is the first I have heard of the "tour". Not very good PR for VW if folks don't know about it.

I get your point, as it always seems these long distance tours have no issues. But then I remind myself that I don't either.

Sometimes I wish I didn't moderate here as I would be blissfully unaware of any issues. Same for my Benz GLA moderation.

Hey, I've charged in that exact same ZEF parking space in Saint Cloud! Of course if you're in that area there's not a lot of options. The EA phase 3 plan should finally start building out the I94 corridor over the next 1-3 years. Hope to revisit Yellowstone someday, would be cool to do it in the ID4.
