From my salesperson, I have an image of a print-out with a VIN number. He's been selling VW for over 25 years, so I have to believe he knows what he's doing.
I agree. It just seems that VW does not have a system in place that is understood by both dealers and customers. If you believe what VWOA customer service said to me today, the system has to be broken otherwise we would all be getting the same info. From my salesperson, I have an image of a print-out with a VIN number. Sounds like you need to find a different dealership.Tell me about, not only does the dealer never reply to me, but I have yet to get even the roadshow email. When I went into the dealership a few weeks ago to ask someone about what's going on, they said they haven't even been trained yet and there was no EV Specialist. Umm...
I might. I'm worried now with the FE almost here (hopefully) something is going to get messed up if I switch dealers.Sounds like you need to find a different dealership.
When I talked with VW Customer Care 2 months ago, they told me I could change dealerships up until the point the car arrived at the dealer.I might. I'm worried now with the FE almost here (hopefully) something is going to get messed up if I switch dealers.
The system really seems broken for how they are getting notifications done. A VW Transport ship docked in Houston, Texas yesterday and off loaded a bunch of vehicles and some one posted that their dealer called a said his FE was in Port at Houston w/VIN. Supposedly on hold until prepped w/software. So confusing one does not know what to believe. Good luck!I’m in the same situation. Reservation placed on the 23th at 1:44 PM. Website has not updated and my dealership is saying that they have no updates so going by the website they believe my FE has not even started production.
Interestingly they said they see 3 id4s of the same color of my preorder assigned to their dealership with dates and VINs but none are assigned to me.
He also said that his expectation is that because east and west coast get priority I should expect a q2 delivery in Texas.
