Is there a way to watch Youtube,Netflix etc. on the infotainment center while for the car to charge?
I don't want to use a thumb drive or the sort.

No.. not at the moment. I have a feeling that won’t change. I guess the only way is with Carplay using a jail broken iPhone. I have no idea how that works, but there are videos on YouTube

I would like to see active weather radar on the screen. It would be great when traveling.

I use an older iPhone SE that I bought on ebay and jailbroke. Netflix doesnt work, or at least I havent tried hard enough there may be some tricks but due to DRM restrictions it only shows a black screen. I can download shows and play through VLC player. Also the Pluto TV app which has lots of good stuff works. I uploaded a quick video of it in my id4 ID.4 Video

If you have an Android phone you can watch Youtube using an app called CarStream.

Forum member ID.Furkan posted this YouTube video before American FEs arrived. I haven't tried it.

Edit: Sorry, I missed that OP didn't want to use thumb drive, etc.

Thanks YowVil. I do use android.
Is this a paid app?
No. And root is not required either.

Its possible with Fermata Auto. Just download AAAD GitHub - shmykelsa/AAAD and then install Fermata Auto and your set. You can also stream movies, really nice for the kids in the backseat since my kids gets carsick but when they see the road also it helps.
