Did anyone get a 21 ID4 with an actual rear license plate bracket or mounting means?? I just went to install the rear plate and discovered no bracket, just 2 holes drilled in the soft, thin, plastic fascia with 2 wood screws. That will not last long before the screws pull out. I noticed a recessed area behind the plate with 2 large screws/bolts that looks like a proper bracket would be attached there. The dealer sez the screws in the thin plastic is the correct place but i doubt it. I think they were just out of brackets and just jury rigged it. If the dealer is right, this would be the first car in history without any means to mount a license plate.

Highly recommend this. I was wary of drilling into the rear bumper (and even more wary of letting the dealer do so). I ordered this, and it works as advertised. 10/10 would buy again.

We have created a rear license plate bracket that doesn’t need to be drilled into the bumper. See the link below. I’ve been running the bracket on my own ID4 and it’s been working out pretty well.

Just a note on the bracket kit listed here. It worked great for me over the last 9 months or so. However, last weekend right before we went on a road trip I was leaning in to the trunk while packing. I didn't pay attention that I started leaning against the tag and put too much pressure which broke one of the brackets. Just a reminder, which should be obvious, that it is fairly easy to break these when excessive force is placed on them. I knew this but accidents can happen and happened at not a great time as I had too scramble to figure out what to do.

I have this bracket for the rear

ID.4 Plate | ID.4 (id4plate.com)

and also have the sly bracket for the front mounted on the grill.
No one has posted pictures of the id4plate installed that I have found. Do you think you could post some with and without the tag attached and from the side? Also, any measurements would be great as the site doesn’t doesn’t seem to have them.

Thanks!
