I think he's referring to the light bar outside the car between the headlights. They light up when the headlights are on.I just see it when I'm charging. It shows the state of charge for the vehicle.
Yep, asking about the light strip outside the car between the highlights. Never seen it come on during a cloudy day when the auto highlights turn on. Does it only come on at night or do I need to make another trip to the dealer.I think he's referring to the light bar outside the car between the headlights. They light up when the headlights are on.
The light bar inside the car lights up as you said while charging, or when using voice commands and the navigation system(only when using the built-in NAV)
On my FE it comes on when ever the headlights are on.Yep, asking about the light strip outside the car between the highlights. Never seen it come on during a cloudy day when the auto highlights turn on. Does it only come on at night or do I need to make another trip to the dealer.
Even during the day when you turn on the headlights? On my FE it comes on when ever the headlights are on.
My headlight are on auto, so I do not think they come in the daylight. Never have turned them on manually, either in the day or night.Even during the day when you turn on the headlights?
In addition to normal headlights on case, when you unlock your car and the headlights come on your center strip should also light up.Even during the day when you turn on the headlights?
Same, Pro doesn’t light up.Think that the cheapest European trim doesn’t have that light bar. Instead has a normal white strip.
Not sure how that works in the USA?
Oh for real? That's lame.Same, Pro doesn’t light up.
I wish there were a model year, trim, and location posted with each one who post on this forum. It would make it easier to respond since there are differences in trims and country location.Same, Pro doesn’t light up.
Different strokes for different folks!Just wait until the Chattanooga plant gets going and we have a new base model!
Funny, one of the things I rather like about the pro is none of the gimmicky lights in the front. I think the Merc badge looks stupid lit up at night, reminds me of yesteryear fluorescent signs for restaurants and ads. I am glad mine won’t light up!
You can construct a signature like some of us have. ErickF pioneered that.I wish there were a model year, trim, and location posted with each one who post on this forum. It would make it easier to respond since there are differences in trims and country location.
I see them on at night when driving (such as when the front of the car is reflected in a window)... I actually wish there was a way to turn it off in settings sometimes.Just found out that the light strip and lighted emblem does not light up while the car is moving. It lights up only when it is parked and you unlock the car or change light switch to daytime running light while parked.
Can anyone confirm this? Am I wrong?
To me this is just a gimmick feature along with green status bar and ambient light.
Wish VW would use the development resources on adding more cameras (even my Sienna has a 360 camera system) and a better infotainment system (id4 infotainment system is far behind other competitors).
How did you get the "Happy owner of a blue ID.4 FE" text under your image? I can't seem to figure that out.You can construct a signature like some of us have. ErickF pioneered that.
