Wireless Carplay pops/ skips during all media playback. Happens on all media apps, Pandora, spottify. Every thirty seconds to a minute and a half there is a short break in the sound, or a little click sound. Super annoying has been happening over a few iterations of Ios and even different phones. Bluetooth streaming is flawless.
Anyone else have this issue?

I was never able to get it to stop doing this, so I instead turned off wireless carplay and just keep it plugged in. It is a little annoying when I take short trips and don't plug in, then have to take a call not using carplay (use my watch instead), but it is better than constant skips while listening to audio. It also has the added benefit of better charging, since the qi charging is not very good and makes the phone very hot.

This is a known issue with the ID.4. The fix is to turn off WiFi search in the infotainment system. I don't recall exactly how this is found but it's not too hard. Just look through the WiFi settings and you'll find a place to turn it off.

This is why VW needs to just release more software updates more frequently to squash these UX bugs.
