It seems that Skoda did a dealer update for their cars running 4.0 to 4.1 and then mentions there is the possibility of future over the air updates. So it looks like at some point we MAY be getting OTA on 24+ cars as well. Škoda Software Updates

It appears to me 2021-2023 vehicles will remain 3.x, 2024 4.x, 2025 5.x, and 2026 likely 6.x. Historically, new features have been used to encourage trade ups. But I could be wrong.
All I can say is that there has been an OTA from 4.1 to 4.1.2 for Skoda owners, but it seems possible that they may go to 5.2 at SOME point. Its the same hardware unlike the change from 3.x to 4.x+
I never thought I’d consider a two year old vehicle “old” but that’s how I feel about ID.4 using 3.x. In fact, I’m beginning to feel that way about current new Model Y Juniper that have 2023 HW4 vs HW5/AI5 coming next year!
