Here in the middle east when the summer starts the particulate matter rises both the PM2.5 and PM10. The Air Quality Index drops to around 150.

I am thinking of the following

Option 1 : Drive with Recirculation On Always with Automatic Recirculation Off.. Every Hour Turn on the Fresh Air for about 5 minutes. Run Air Care after this procedure.

Option 2 : Always Run Aircare (Leave it all to the system) and have automatic recirculation on

i prefer option 2 as i could miss the manual air refresh on highways leading to potentially high levels of CO2

Ow
The Air Care Climatronic active combination filter can limit the entrance of hazardous substances as well as allergens.

If Air Care is switched on, the air recirculation of the air conditioner is maximized as far as permitted by the risk of fogging up the windows depending on the humidity in the vehicle interior and the outside temperature. Air recirculation is controlled automatically and adapts itself continuously to prevent vehicle occupant fatigue.

Is this best of both worlds maximizing Air Recirculation and take the fresh air just to keep the passengers from having fatigue @Einar98281 Your inputs will also be valuable as a person who has done extensive testing in CO2 level though this question is more on the lines of PM2.5 and PM10

Edit, incorrect claim:
Air Care seems to carry over from drive to drive. At least that's what I remember, maybe worth checking.
Edit #2: I tried it yesterday and it carried over from one drive to another, with about a twenty minute stop in the parking lot. But then later in the day it stopped after parking for a couple of hours.

I believe VW makes it difficult to keep recirculate on all the time because of fear of CO2 buildup. Not saying I believe that, just that seems to be their stance.

First step would be to make sure to put the second filter into the intake. If unsure, do a quick search on here for carbon filters to go with the particulate filter.

It would be significantly better to at least keep auto-recirculate on, and double up with two HEPA filters. You can replace the single filter with two (stacked one over the other) and make sure you get HEPA. All ID.4s have the ability to stack 2 filters due to it being sold in markets with regularly poor air quality. This will highly filter the air and make it exceptionally clean. I used these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CB8BQRDS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

By the way, here's a description of what VW's Air Care feature does (vs. just regular climate control). The page is talking about older models, but I think the basic features are still valid for the ID.4:
