Today after I disconnected the vw supplied charger all of a sudden all four windows opened half way. Doe anyone know why this happened?

Thanks!!

This happened to me twice with the key in my front pocket setting off the panic alarm.

I was extremley annoyed when I left work late at night to find ALL MY WINDOWS down!!!

The guy that put just 2 window buttons in the car must be the same that programmed this stupid feature. Why???? why would you do this?

oops, all my windows are now down. I would never know since im inside the office trying to turn off an alarm.

I haven't had the window problem but, with the key fob in my pocket and something pressing against me (carrying a box, leaning on the counter, etc.) the panic alarm went off a number of times. After seeing the "Key Fob Cover" thread (search for it), I bought a silicon key fob cover on Amazon. Looks just like the ones pictured in that thread. So far, so good -- no more alarms or unintentional button presses. My fob was designed for a Golf and it did not have a spot for the panic button. I punched a hole in the silicon over the panic button. The hole not only tells me where to press in the unlikely event I need the panic alarm; it also reduces the chance of unintentional pressure on that button. With the cover, the fob is also more grippy and less likely to slip out of a pocket.

I don't like the fob design. I am always bumping something that sets off the panic alarm, and don't even think of putting anything in the pocket with the fob. The fob functions that we do use are recessed so they aren't as likely to be bumped, but not the panic button that is high a ready for any bump. Poor design IMHO. I wonder if the version that is used in Germany will work for a US version car? I hear that version does not have the panic button.
