Auto lock.. am I missing something?

So as dumb as this sounds, I haven't been able to figure out how to set the auto lock function on the car. I know if I tap the sensor on the handle it will lock but shouldn't the car lock on it's own after a couple of seconds? I have walked outside and noticed that the side mirrors haven't moved to the lock position. I've gone through the infotainment setting and see unlock while approaching function. What am I missing here?

I believe it can be set to unlock when you approach but there isn't a way to have it lock automatically when you walk away.

Anyone find this in coding yet? We’ve done Easy Entry for both the Driver and Passenger. This would also be a nice add-on (it works in the EU, I believe).

Nope, doesn’t Auto lock either in the EU, also not with 2.3.

With the technical exception that if you have unlock on approach enabled, walk towards it and the car unlocks.
If you then walk away, without opening the car, it will lock again after a couple of seconds.

I'm really looking forward to my AWD on reserve, but this is just another minor annoyance that I will have to get used to. I don't think i'm willing to shell out $4k + for ugly grill Q4, or even more for Model Y, EV 6, Mach - E, or xc40 recharge...

Auto lock.. am I missing something?
