Hello. Out of nowhere our 2021 id4 allows us to turn on ac as normal but no cool air is felt. Tried restarting infotainment. Would love this to an easy at home fix but perhaps we need to see the dealer? Is there a known issue? Thanks!
No more longer, that is how long you wait. An AC machine is a basic tool that any dealership should have. And if broken, should be fixed in a timely manner. If there are no other dealers in your area, I would escalate it now. You have been waiting for a few weeks, right?8/31/2022 Update:
Dealership called me yesterday to let me know that their AC machine is still broken, whaattt 😖.
No fun driving w/o AC. If they can't check the refrigerant charge how can they order the bad sensor I might need which is on back order elsewhere.
How much longer do I wait before escalating this issue 😖.

If the issue is just the sensor, it looks like (from the online DIY guides) no need to refill refrigerant.I’m thinking about doing it. But do I need to refill the refrigerant? I read somewhere that you need to recharge and refill it.
Thanks, I'll ask about it at my next service visit.Id4alex,
Your new car should not be leaking refrigerant. Maybe check fuses or could be a/c sensor like my car.
Any updates? I am just so curious how this goes. My ID4's AC is blowing hot air and temp in the next couple days are n 100's here in San Jose, Ca.Been watching VWs and Audis diy videos on YouTube. None of the videos require refill/recharge. It’s just taking the old one off and screwing the new one on.
The part is coming today. I’ll update you guys.
