Anyone try upgrading just the door speakers and tweeters with Focal 165VW, without the amp?
Any better brands/options?
Is it worth upgrading the amp?
I would be ok with just 40Watt RMS speakers if any fit.
Also what about a slim 20Watt SubWoofer that fits under the seat?

I agree… stock speakers are surprisingly good, they just lack bass. Maybe someone can make a subwoofer that mounts in that lower cargo area …

I'm thinking now to only add a subwoofer. I looked at the ibus 2.1 from focal(75watts RMS), but it's $949 😟
Any other ideas? Ideally one that fits under the seat.
25watts RMS(50w peak) would be ok for the sub. Or 2x 10watts in a push/pull configuration.

 

I upgraded just the speakers. It made a difference to me and was worth it.
