We reserved our Kings Red Pro S ID.4 yesterday and we’re pretty excited. Anyone else order and take delivery of one yet? Any dealers have one that you’ve seen? Our local dealers here in the low desert of So. Cal don’t have any in this color or we would of bought it if we liked the trim.
Thanks!

MA MOR-EV: "...with a final purchase price under $50,000 1."

"1. Final purchase price is defined as the price listed under the “Total Cash Value” or “Agreed Upon Value” or similar field on a Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement or Motor Vehicle Lease Agreement or similar contract."

My MA Motor Vehicle Purchase Contract "Total Price" [non-bold text] approached the limit but the "Total Contract Price" [bold text], given trade-in, was far less than $50K.

Which does the program go by? I would presume the latter bold text.

@Huey52,

Did I misread the requirements?

This is from their FAQ section (Frequently Asked Questions | MOR-EV):

  • The purchase price will be listed on your purchase agreement as “Total Cash Price” or on the lease agreement as “Agreed Upon Value”, or similar.
    • The purchase price cap of $50,000 refers to the final purchase price of the vehicle, which is set by the manufacturer, and is intended to encompass the value of the vehicle itself, in full. The purchase price includes the costs associated with the trim level of the vehicle with all color options, wheel upgrades, drive train or battery upgrades, and other packages, such as entertainment system upgrades. Costs not included in the purchase price are destination or delivery charges, sales and use taxes, additional maintenance or repair packages purchased from the dealership or showroom, documentation fees, registration fees, or add-ons which relate to the maintenance or operation of the vehicle, such as electric vehicle charging packages, floor mats, first aid kits, cargo nets, etc.

I still owe money on my eGolf so I will not be getting that much money back.

Maybe I should confirm with them either way. Would like the red at $395 not $2,895.

Their FAQ seems to differ from their Massachusetts Offers Rebates for Electric Vehicles (MOR-EV) Terms and Conditions which I quoted.

Send them an email or a call. They were very responsive when I did a number of months ago.

Perhaps our saga with deciding on Kings Red Metallic will help others on the forum. In May we decided on the ID.4, but my husband wanted red and I liked the blue. We had seen the Dusk Blue Metallic during our test drives at VW dealers, but no Kings Red Metallic. In order to really make a decision we had to see the actual red 'cause there are many shades of red. I spent the better part of 2 days online searching every single VW dealer in San Diego, Riverside and Orange counties, all to no avail. However, I stumbled upon a VW Arteon a dealer was advertising and the color was designated as Red on their website. I called to see if someone could find the color as described on the window sticker. It was Kings Red Metallic. We immediately drove to the dealer, saw the Arteon and we both were astonished at how gorgeous the red is. Needless to say, we ordered the car that day, 25 May 21. It was unloaded from the vessel THEMIS LEADER on 19 Sep 21 and we are awaiting notification from the dealer for pickup. In summary, VW also sells the Arteon in Kings Red Metallic and perhaps you will have more luck finding that car at a dealer as it has been in production longer I believe. I have noticed that the Kings Red Metallic is being featured on several of the reviews for the AWD version; e.g. Domenck Yoney's First Drive review on InsideEVs.

I've seen one other person on this forum receive but seems to be a less ordered color I guess because it's extra cost and requires Gradient package. I think it's a great color but didn't think I could handle having a red car long term...too bold ha,ha! Post some pics!

Edit: Oops I thought your message said "received" and not "reserved". There was a youtube video on one at a dealer in Tennessee you might be able to find.

We reserved one a while back (end of June and the dealer called yesterday and told us it was in). Picking it up Thursday. It will complement our Navara Blue Audi SQ5 quite well.
