All ID4s have it. I can’t remember if it is a light sensor or and ambient temp sensor.

These two holes are for a cable with a padlock to secure the ID.4 to a bike rack when parked. I use a similar cable to secure my laptop to the table in Starbucks when I have to step outside.

 

There is a real little camera in the binnacle though. it uses eye-tracking to determine fatigue.

 

Given that many of the other responses are jokey, I'm hesitant to ask... but I've seen some other cars with this safety feature. Do you know what it does if it senses fatigue?

 

The vehicle interior temperature sensor is located between the center vent and the storage compartment in the center console. Temperature from the sensor can be read with a smartphone and obd2 bluetooth dongle.

It is a little RED light that tells you that the immobilizer (security) is active. There is another one on the drivers door next to the mirror. Hard to see unless you are outside of the car and look down over the side view mirror.

 

Good Morning America recommends you put a piece of tape over it to make sure no one hacks it and watches you.
