How to turn the background to all black on infotainment screen and re-arrange your apple icons:
1. After carplay is loaded on infotainment screen, click the settings icon on the car's screen. Now select background and change to black.
2. Now, on your iPhone, go to General > CarPlay, select your vehicle, then tap Customize.
Do one of the following: Move an icon: Drag. up or down in the list. Remove an icon: Tap. next to the icon, then tap Remove.
I removed some apps that make no sense and I put Amazon music icon within reach of steering wheel.
Also, wanted Electrify America app on far left, so when I get to charging station I can select charger and start it from infotainment screen PRIOR to plugging in cord. This way I dont look bad in front of mustang EV's or Tesla's.
The car will start charging as soon as you get out of car and plug in.
