With an older software version on the EA charger the charger displayed the requested power from the car. That was great and helped a lot sadly.i never saw that displayed again.
The rivian gives a message like " charging is slow because of cold battery"

Does it need a rocket scientist to come up with the information?
I claim a lot of our unhappiness comes from.really bad and thoughtless software implementations, no excuse.

90 minutes to fully charge? Hmm math doesn’t add up. My 2023 id 4 charges at no more than 90 kw using free charge
at EA chargers in NY but all the other high speed charges not owned by VW EA charge my car as high as 140 kw consistently. I’ve seen Canadian cars come down to NY and use VW EA chargers and get max rate parked right next to me while I’m charging at 70-90 kw. Bottom line VW ripping off vw owners in US with reduced charge rate to keep there cost down at ownership expense While offering free charging.

That is a strong statement and not sure if true. R u checking with and app the charging or did u ever call EA and ask about the charger speed. Often they can tell you if other ID4s charged faster at the same station. If true that VW be bad and sadly not surprise me either
