How much do you think the dealer will charge me to “un-brick” my ID.4?

So how does it look this morning? Did it reset?
Nope - this is a pretty serious fault - pulling the fireman fuse - it basically tells the car it needs to disable the power to prevent a fire, or shock to someone working on it. I pulled the error codes from the OBD2 dongle and I'm hoping that the VW dealer can guide me through a reset. Given that it's backed-in and parked in my garage, a tow will be a challenge with the RWD!

More to come ;-)

Plenty of people have pulled the HV fuse in tandem with the 12V battery for a full vehicle reset without getting errors like this. I think the lack of a 12V reset might be the cause of this. Disconnect the 12V, re-insert the HV fuse, re-connect the 12V. (Doesn't need to be disconnected for hours or anything)
Did you try to try this method?

I haven't - the codes I'm seeing on the OBD2 seems to say they can't be cleared through that interface and must go to the dealer for service to reset. I have a call into VW service at my local dealership and I will ask and see what they say. Just don't want to compound it any further, on my own ;-)

Probably cheaper to Uber the VW tech with his equipment to your place…

@VW TECHNICIAN is this a real possibility? "If you ask next time you go to service about installing 12V outlet to the front it will be easy to make it"
Yes... there is one in the back already...they can use same part number for 12V outlet and look wiring schematics for instructions and installation of dedicated fuse in the fuse box ...

That's the truth - except I called the dealer and their 1 ID4 tech called in sick today :-(

So I tried the following with no improvement:
1. I pulled the battery cable and then reattached it. - still same warnings and won't go into gear
2. I cleared all the error codes via the OBD2 port- still same warnings and won't go into gear.

So it's going to get towed into the dealer and we will see when that ID4 tech comes into work!

Or you priority order a ross-tech Hex V2 cable. then you can clear it yourself. -> Ross-Tech: HEX-V2 Interface
error codes aren't protected, so can always be cleared.
@Andy at Ross-Tech.com should be able to confirm that.

Put it back in. Start it up and drive it and the message will go away. Why did you ever pull that out?
Jeez, thanks man, I never thought of that :p Seriously. give me some credit!

I put it back in, it won't go into gear/drive and all the errors are still there. I know pulling the fuse was idiotic, but I swear I'm not an actual idiot!

Try to call around and ask for paying for technician coming with ODIS to your place and preform necessary resets....or if you know authorized shops that have been cleared and authorized to access this side of SFD.

it was towed to the dealer this morning - their only ID4 tech called in sick today, so I'm hoping they will fix it tomorrow.
