How much do you think the dealer will charge me to “un-brick” my ID.4?

So the fuse was reinstalled but into the wrong slot? Hindsight is 20/20 but it's always a good idea to take a photo of the fusebox before removing anything.
Quick question are you thinking about applying to become officially licensed by Volkswagen AG and Volkswagen of North America and receive permission to access and use the latest car data of Volkswagen group vehicles.
Your software is still my favorite tool besides ODIS.
And new dongle is running very well.

I am glad you got it started. I recently was pulling fuses to look for a possible blown fuse after my truck died on me while driving would not start. I was not 100% sure that I put them back correctly since only 30% of the slots were filled. I should have taken a picture.

Ask for API integration with your software...and it will open all types of possibilities from basic to very advanced users... it will most likely end your free updates you did for many years but i will still pay for subscription . Because it was my go to software when i was in college and working on VW cars.

So if the fuse were to be put back into the right slot, would the car start back up without dealer service?
Most likely.
In hindsight, if you look at the fusebox picture his tabbed fuse sits equal to the top 5amp fuse. It should have been installed 1 position lower, equal to the middle one. We all overlooked that.
Mine has a 20 amp fuse above the tabbed fuse, so no risk of putting it back in the wrong position. No idea why his car doesn’t have that one.

Yeah I noticed too looking at other threads where that fuse should have been. About the different fuses, probably the difference between Pro and Pro S where the Pro S has more electrical items like power liftgate, sunshade, folding mirrors, etc.

I did this a few weeks ago and my car was able to roll on and off the ramps just fine the other day when I needed to move it. (It's been disassembled for a few weeks and hasn't moved) Though, I did see an error for "Electrical system malfunction" flash by, with the 20 other errors that should disappear after I drive the car for a little bit. We'll see if the malfunction code stays. As long as I can drive the car to the dealer to get it reset I'm not worried about it. The firemans fuse was removed and replaced into the same slot, and 12V was disconnected at that time.

You are disassembling your ID4 ??

Repairing some minor deer damage. :) I shut the whole car down because I couldn’t close the hood and it wasn’t going to sleep. Even with the 12v pulled, the car stayed alive due to the HV battery powering the 12v DC to DC converter.
Ouch, I saw your post / youtube. How is it going? I'm interested in DIY repairability because I am hoping to keep the car for many many years (and I'm a cheapskate / like working on car). Best of luck with repair

The repair parts only shipped today, but it's been very straightforward. Just a lot of bumper plastics and headlight removal. Nothing really EV-specific got hit, so I'm lucky in that regard. :)
