Key fob didn’t unlock doors and Infotainment/computer slow to wake up after unlock

1) Went to unlock this morning with the key fob and it took a thousand tries before it unlocked (didn't try the handle to unlock because we wanted to get the key fob to work - have only had the car four months so the battery should still be okay and it worked fine after it finally unlocked). 2) Central infotainment regularly slow to respond when unlocking (stays totally black when car is initially unlocked for a good 10-20 seconds). 3) Occasionally still see the "Welcome to VW" screen when getting into the car as though it's just done a reset.

Everything was going great until last week when we tried to set the EVSE scheduling within the car (should have just used the one in our charger in hindsight). The scheduling got stuck in the vehicle and we had to factory reset it. Even though it definitely reset everything, it said it could not complete a reset. It seems to have solved the EVSE scheduling thing, but the computer has been reeeeaal slow since. I'm hoping it's just indexing everything again since the factory reset and just needs a few days/weeks to get back in order. Fingers crossed!

Scheduled EVSE charging in the current USA ID.4 software is broken and should not be used. Should be resolved in the (forever) upcoming software update.
Another way to speed up the response of the display is to remove the navigation window/widget from the initial display layout.

The first bootup of the day is always slowest in my ID.4, and literally takes a minute to become responsive.
Startups after the first one of the day seem to have the display come alive/become responsive much faster.

^^ Agree, scheduled charging is broken, wait for the update.

But the blank screen behavior sounds odd. Slow? Ok. Blank for a while? No. Same goes for your delayed key unlock response. If it were me, at this point I'd probably wait for the update to see if that changes anything, but if you have the time and inclination (or frustration) take it in because that doesn't sound right.

Oh totally. I am definitely not using the scheduling anymore. That's just what caused me to need a factory reset (twice, and both times said it couldn't complete it even though it definitely reset everything [except the timing of the climate conditioning weirdly]) and has since thrown things off it seems. Very much looking forward to 3.0/3.1.
