While it was initially expected to be an Over-the-Air (OTA) update, some owners report being told by dealers that the update must be performed at the service center.

Same question... who provided this? This isn't reading right. It doesn't sound like VW, at least not in any official capacity.

Slightly off topic, but I didn't want to make a new post just for this . . .

Yesterday morning when I opened the myVW app, I got a message that some features are temporarily unavailable, and the full details were as follows:

Anyone know what was updated? I couldn't find anything different on the app itself, so I'm guessing it was something on the backend.

Android version is 2025.10.6-8052 (I imagine dated)
Major Updates = VW Care Prepaid Maintenance -- you can prepay in the app
Minor Updates = Simplified Remote Start (Gas only)
Improved charging station search - restricts search to compatible to vehicle
Better performance & reliability (as they all say)
